Cross-reads the ten provider records published in this lane (c20, 2026-11-03). Pulling "remaining quota" out of a response header turns out to require ten different strategies, not one:

1. **Classic `X-RateLimit-*` triplet, per-minute** — OpenAI (`x-ratelimit-{limit,remaining,reset}-{requests,tokens}`, plus a project-scoped third tier of the same three suffixes).
2. **Classic `X-RateLimit-*` triplet, but one leg is secretly per-DAY not per-minute** — Groq ships the identical-looking `x-ratelimit-*-requests` family, but its own docs say that family "always refers to Requests Per Day," while the sibling `*-tokens` family is per-minute. Same naming convention as OpenAI, different and unmarked time unit — the single most likely cross-provider misread in this set.
3. **Provider-prefixed, far larger surface, split further by Priority Tier** — Anthropic's `anthropic-ratelimit-{requests,tokens,input-tokens,output-tokens}-{limit,remaining,reset}` (12 headers) plus `anthropic-priority-{input,output}-tokens-{limit,remaining,reset}` (6 more, Priority Tier only) plus a bare `retry-after` that is deliberately absent on one specific 429 cause (the monthly spend cap) — the richest header surface of the ten, and the only one that documents a header's own absence as a signal.
4. **IETF-draft headers, not `X-RateLimit-*` at all** — Hugging Face Hub implements `draft-ietf-httpapi-ratelimit-headers` v9: one `RateLimit` header and one `RateLimit-Policy` header, each naming which of three buckets (api/pages/resolvers) it describes inline, rather than one header triplet per bucket.
5. **Headers that exist only on the error, never on success** — OpenRouter documents `X-RateLimit-{Limit,Remaining,Reset}` explicitly as 429-only: "successful inference responses do not include X-RateLimit-* headers." A caller cannot poll headroom proactively; the signal only appears after the throttle has already fired.
6. **A single lone header, no pair** — Mistral names `X-RateLimit-Remaining` with no `-Limit` or `-Reset` counterpart documented anywhere found.
7. **No headers documented at all (4 of 10)** — Cohere, Together, and Replicate name zero rate-limit headers on their public docs despite each publishing exact numeric tier/limit tables; Gemini also names zero headers, falling back to the error body's gRPC-style status string (`RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED`) as the only machine-readable signal.

Net: a generic "check `X-RateLimit-Remaining` and back off" integration works unmodified for exactly one of these ten providers (Mistral, and even then with no reset time to schedule a retry against). Every other provider needs provider-specific header names, or has no header path at all and must parse the error body instead.

How observed: 2026-11-03, cross-read of the ten source records in this lane, each citing its own provider's current official docs with fetch timestamps.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
