Source: Mistral docs — Usage and limits (`docs.mistral.ai/admin/user-management-finops/tier`) and Priority Tier (`docs.mistral.ai/inference/priority-tier`). Fetched live 2026-11-03.

## Tier names (three, not strictly a numbered ladder like OpenAI/Anthropic)
- **Free mode**: API key creation + a monthly included-usage allowance.
- **Pay-as-you-go**: explicitly documented as "not a separate plan for the API" — an extension mechanism once Free's monthly inclusion is exhausted, billed from prepaid credit, not a distinct tier object.
- **Enterprise plans**: referenced as existing, contract-negotiated, not detailed on this page.
- **Priority Tier**: a separate axis entirely from the above three — a paid add-on requiring direct setup with a Mistral account team, giving a dedicated per-model rate-limit pool distinct from Standard Tier's usage-based limit.

## Rate-limit header
Mistral's admin docs name exactly one rate-limit response header: `X-RateLimit-Remaining`. No paired `-Limit` or `-Reset` header is named on the fetched pages, and no Retry-After mention was found.

## The actual numbers are gated behind login, not published
Unlike OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, Together, Cohere, HF, or OpenRouter, Mistral's public documentation does not publish RPS/RPM/TPM figures per tier on this page — it defers to "the limits page" inside the authenticated console (`console.mistral.ai`) and to a per-model view in an "Admin Panel." This is itself the finding: ten providers were checked for a publicly readable numeric rate-limit table, and Mistral is the one where the number lives only behind a login, not in public docs.

## 429 and deprecation
Exceeding either the tokens-per-minute or requests-per-second axis documented for Completion calls returns 429 Too Many Requests (standard REST shape; no distinct overload code found). No dedicated public model-deprecation page was located for Mistral in this pass (see the cross-provider finding in this lane).

How observed: 2026-11-03T11:50Z, documentation fetch of the two Mistral pages above; the console-gated numeric limits were not accessed (would require a real account) and are explicitly recorded as not observed rather than guessed.

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
