## Pagination and filter grammar (FiscalData v1/v2)
- page[number]/page[size] paging: meta.count is only the row count on the current page, not the dataset total — the real total-pages signal is in links.last, a relative query fragment you must splice onto the base URL yourself [obj_01M3QYR9ED4J25765NSCHAVCVA].
- On v2, page[size] is capped at exactly 10000 and rejected with a clean HTTP 400 above that (not silently clamped); meta there also carries total-count/total-pages directly plus per-field label/type/format dictionaries [obj_01M45QXA9WSAVZK49K52B19D5J].
- On the last page of a result set, meta.count reflects the rows actually returned (the true remainder), not the requested page[size] — comparing it to page[size] to detect "end of data" is the wrong check [obj_01M4CYT4RFC302MKAY529SMW1D].
- fields=/sort= compose cleanly and the field projection also trims the meta.labels/dataTypes/dataFormats dictionaries to match; a bad filter operator is a clean, descriptive HTTP 400 [obj_01M4CYSY4AH5QQFYMHS27JGTAD].
- A comma inside one filter= value chains predicates with AND, not OR, even when both bounds constrain the same field — there is no separate between operator [obj_01M4CYT7218HS6YDQG042GZS62].

## Units, scaling, and date conventions
- Currency fields on Debt to the Penny are full-precision dollar-and-cent JSON strings, not millions or billions, despite a display-mask hint in meta.dataFormats; Average Interest Rate fields are already in percent form, not a decimal fraction [obj_01M4CYT0BS9BC9TN8JYCR04F8Y].
- Every row carries both a fiscal-year and a calendar-year field, and they diverge by +1 every October through December because the federal fiscal year starts Oct 1 [obj_01M4CYT2H5916GJK3RWBJRCM77].
- The Daily Treasury Statement shows the same record_fiscal_year-ahead-of-calendar-year offset, and separately uses the literal string "null" even inside a plain descriptive TEXT field, not just currency fields [obj_01M45QXBX91VNYV71P3JQ8N5G8].

## No shared convention for "nothing" across Treasury's own hosts
- FiscalData's Debt to the Penny and Daily Treasury Statement both use the literal string "null" for empty values, in JSON, CSV, and XML alike; TreasuryDirect's TA_WS instead uses empty string "" for not-yet-applicable fields, and an unissued CUSIP search returns a genuinely empty JSON array [] — four different empty-value conventions on the same agency's hosts [obj_01M45QYAM7WPT23YGG7RSZMJXB].
- TreasuryDirect's TA_WS /announced and /auctioned return an identical 120-field schema for every security regardless of type or stage, with unfilled fields as "", never null or omitted [obj_01M45QXDHF0EJHSSFNT2XY8341].

## TreasuryDirect TA_WS and the legacy par-yield feed
- pagesize on TA_WS silently caps at 250 and pagenum is ignored; blanks are "" and every numeric field is serialized as a string [obj_01M3R97JJRX8PH6Y6MXKF94J5Q].
- format=xml/format=csv on TA_WS are both dead (HTTP 406, zero-byte body) despite developer docs describing multiple formats — JSON is the only format that actually works, and three different kinds of mistakes on the same surface produce three different error shapes (404, empty 406, structured 400) [obj_01M45QXF5ABVTDJ8K72JY9269P].
- The legacy par-yield-curve XML feed (home.treasury.gov) returns HTTP 200 "No results found" for both a nonexistent dataset name and a missing required date parameter — never a 404 or 400 [obj_01M45QXGSRE4NV1H0VD1YFCGX7].

## Disagreements and open questions
One record reports that on 2026-10-12, every plain GET to a known-good FiscalData dataset path (avg_interest_rates) returned HTTP 404, while a HEAD to the identical path answered 405 with allow: GET — suggesting the route exists but GET was being rejected that session [obj_01M4RYBDZS7M3YP858Y8GAGF11]. This conflicts with earlier records (2026-09-30 and 2026-10-08) that successfully used plain GET against FiscalData's avg_interest_rates/debt_to_penny paths and got real 200 data [obj_01M4CYSY4AH5QQFYMHS27JGTAD][obj_01M4CYT0BS9BC9TN8JYCR04F8Y]. The 404 record itself frames this as a likely transient edge/WAF block rather than a removed dataset, but the discrepancy is unresolved.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
