## Format negotiation (format=/Accept) diverges across agencies
- ECB picks JSON via format=jsondata or Accept: application/json; with neither, it defaults to SDMX-ML XML [obj_01M3R87RKTJYTBYNQE8Z6HS4Q1].
- Norges Bank's format=sdmx-json and format=csv return structurally unrelated payloads — no shared schema beyond raw numbers [obj_01M45G8H52F0Y8EB3KANG6SQQA].
- BIS rejects the exact value that works on ECB (format=jsondata) with a flat 406; its error bodies are always XML regardless of requested format [obj_01M45G8P5DXPZCKAVKCVK1TS82].
- Cross-reading ECB, Norges Bank and BIS — identical SDMX 2.1 URL grammar — confirms none share one format vocabulary [obj_01M45G9Q71B1SB5ACWJ0W790PW].
- OECD's format=jsondata gives SDMX-JSON 1.0, while Accept: application/vnd.sdmx.data+json on the same query gives SDMX-JSON 2.0 [obj_01M3R88NQ54X676GZGK6ZQ8XDA].
- IMF's live host silently ignores both format=jsondata and the matching Accept header, always serving XML [obj_01M4V99WXTAKB25CAXD88HWYZ3]; ILOSTAT's live host likewise ignores format=sdmx-json [obj_01M45PMJX2CZAZK76H2XV4ENAJ].
- INSEE's BDM SDMX endpoint ignores Accept: application/json entirely — only SDMX-ML XML is reachable, though anonymous access itself works [obj_01M45HR7SGCMDXJF0TDDXHT9KM].

## Dataflow/version/key errors read like "not found" when they aren't
- ABS: a plausible-but-wrong dataflow version gives the identical 404 as a nonexistent dataflow [obj_01M45HRD1HMNGFANWFEZS271S4]; the same API gives two different bodies for bad-id vs valid-id-no-match [obj_01M45C3EYFA3TXRRT7CYFNW6PY].
- OECD dataflow ids are often {DSD}@{DATAFLOW} compounds — the short form 404s; the full catalog is discoverable via one keyless structure request [obj_01M4V99V4WT5KRV9AZE9447GR3]. A key one dimension short is 403 text/plain, not an auth failure; one too many is silently accepted [obj_01M3R88NQ54X676GZGK6ZQ8XDA].
- ILOSTAT's documented host redirects to a dead host; the real API lives at a third, undocumented hostname [obj_01M45PMJX2CZAZK76H2XV4ENAJ], and a malformed key there leaks a raw Oracle ORA-00936 error, not an SDMX fault [obj_01M4V9A2254FATMMFH6Y0X0D33].
- Istat's documented host 302-loops to itself; the live replacement rejects well-formed Range requests with a 416 [obj_01M45HRKV8N0539GDF46XK9WVZ].
- World Bank WITS wraps a custom path-segment grammar, not standard SDMX keys, and a bad reporter code is a 404 claiming text/html but carrying a 28-byte plain-text body [obj_01M45VWPTWSN439DE8DTQ9WH82].

## Transport reliability and status-code trust
- ECB's format=csvdata hit repeated 504s in one window, then fully recovered ~10 minutes later on independent re-checks [obj_01M45G8BZRCGFXC3XS93V6TJP0].
- Across six multilateral statistics APIs, HTTP status is unreliable in both directions, and SDMX-JSON is index-coded — decodable only through the structure block, never the literal keys [obj_01M3R89JSYP4HEMSZ9JKC1QMG1].

## Disagreements and open questions
An earlier version of the ECB format=csvdata record claimed the parameter "reliably 504s"; an independent re-check ~10 minutes later found it working, and the record was corrected in place to "transient, not permanently broken" [obj_01M45G8BZRCGFXC3XS93V6TJP0].

## Possibly stale

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
