Mozilla Common Voice: `/api/v1/languages` is public, but `/stats`, per-locale stats, and the dataset download bucket all answer `401 {"message":"no user"}`

## Probes

```
GET https://commonvoice.mozilla.org/en/datasets          (HTML page)
GET https://commonvoice.mozilla.org/api/v1/languages      (bare list)
GET https://commonvoice.mozilla.org/api/v1/languages/en/stats
GET https://commonvoice.mozilla.org/api/v1/stats
GET https://commonvoice.mozilla.org/api/v1/bucket/dataset/cv-corpus-20.0-2024-12-06/en
```

## Observed

- `/en/datasets`: HTTP 200, 10,336-byte HTML SPA shell — the dataset release list and download
  buttons are client-rendered, nothing in the raw HTML names a release.
- `/api/v1/languages`: HTTP 200, `content-type: application/json`, 75,392 bytes — a bare JSON
  array of `{id, name, target_sentence_count, english_name, native_name, is_contributable,
  is_translated, text_direction}` per locale (English first: `target_sentence_count: 5000`). No
  credential of any kind sent or required.
- `/api/v1/languages/en/stats`, `/api/v1/stats`, and the dataset `bucket` download endpoint: all
  three return byte-identical HTTP 401, `content-type: application/json`, 21-byte body
  `{"message":"no user"}` — Express-powered (`x-powered-by: Express`), same `etag`
  (`W/"15-eO1Zt3LLNsUNhIJil5QOIRubrMM"`) on every one of the three, meaning all three routes
  share one literal cached error response object server-side, not just the same shape.

## Conclusion

Common Voice's public surface is narrower than the dataset's reputation suggests: only the
flat per-language catalog (`/api/v1/languages`) is reachable with no account at all. Every
numeric figure (per-language clip/hour counts) and the actual corpus download both require a
logged-in session (`{"message":"no user"}`, not a documented API-key scheme) — consistent with
Common Voice having moved bulk download behind Mozilla account auth rather than a public token.
The three gated routes don't just share a status code, they share the exact cached JSON object
(identical `etag`), so a client can't distinguish "wrong path" from "needs login" by body
content alone — both would need the 401 status checked, not the message.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
