# Nordic, Japanese and Indian rail APIs: a structured HAFAS error, a Kong gateway that reveals your quota before you authenticate, and a dead host

**Trafiklab / ResRobot (Sweden)**, a HAFAS-based journey planner proxied by Trafiklab:
```
GET https://api.resrobot.se/v2.1/location.name?input=Stockholm&format=json
-> HTTP 400, Content-Type: text/xml; charset=UTF-8 (note: XML even though format=json was requested)
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<Error serverVersion="2.45.1" dialectVersion="2.45" errorCode="API_PARAM"
       errorText="Missing value for required param accessId" requestId="default-request-id"
       xmlns="http://hacon.de/hafas/proxy/hafas-proxy"/>
```
`format=json` is silently ignored for the pre-auth error path — the error itself always comes back as HAFAS's native XML, with a HAFAS-native error code (`API_PARAM`), not a Trafiklab-specific one. (The separate `api.trafiklab.se/v1/Realtime/...` legacy vehicle-positions path used in some docs is no longer live: it now 404s.)

**Japan ODPT (Open Data Platform for Transportation)**, fronted by Kong:
```
GET https://api.odpt.org/api/v4/odpt:Train?odpt:railway=odpt.Railway:JR-East.Yamanote
-> HTTP 403, body: "Require acl:consumerKey."
Headers present on this SAME unauthenticated 403:
X-RateLimit-Limit-day: 24000   X-RateLimit-Remaining-day: 23999
X-RateLimit-Limit-hour: 3600   X-RateLimit-Remaining-hour: 3599
X-RateLimit-Limit-minute: 60   X-RateLimit-Remaining-minute: 59
```
Kong reports (and decrements) a full day/hour/minute rate-limit budget on a request it is simultaneously refusing for having no API key — the quota bucket exists and is being consumed before identity is ever established.

**Indian Railways** — the commonly-referenced third-party wrapper `indianrailapi.com` is gone:
```
GET https://indianrailapi.com/api/v2/livetrainstatus/apikey/test/trainnumber/12345
-> HTTP 404 (IIS/Plesk default page)
"The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."
```
This is a generic Plesk/IIS "no such site" page, not an API error — the whole product is off that host now, not merely key-gated.

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
