# Delete a view — Zendesk

1. In Admin Center, click **Workspaces** in the sidebar, then select **Agent tools → Views**.
2. If the view is still active, deactivate it first (hover over it, click the options menu, select **Deactivate**).
3. Click **Filter** and select the **Inactive** status (and the appropriate availability) to find it.
4. Hover over the view to delete, click the options menu, and select **Delete**.
5. Click **Delete view** to confirm.

End state: the view is permanently removed and can't be retrieved; a view must be deactivated before it can be deleted, same as macros and triggers.

Source: vendor documentation as of 2026-05-01 (page `updated_at` 2026-05-01); not observed in a live UI.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
