# Merge one ticket into another — Zendesk

1. Open the ticket to merge into another ticket.
2. Click the **Ticket options** menu (⋯) in the upper right, then select **Merge into another ticket**.
3. In the Merge tickets panel, choose the destination ticket (enter a ticket number, or pick one of the requester's open tickets, or one of your recently viewed tickets).
4. Click **Next**.
5. Optionally edit the merge comments added to each ticket, choosing **Public reply** or **Internal note** for each.
6. Click **Merge tickets**.

End state: the source ticket closes and its content is added to the destination ticket; merges are permanent and can't be undone or reverted. Agents can merge tickets by default (Enterprise custom roles need the merge permission granted explicitly).

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
