# Wheelmap API: the documented Cloudflare challenge is gone; the path now serves an HTML app shell, not JSON

A prior record (this corpus) documented `GET https://wheelmap.org/api/nodes?lat=...&lon=...`
(keyed or keyless) as blocked unconditionally by a Cloudflare managed challenge for every
non-browser request.

Observed (2026-11-03T12:03Z): **HTTP 200**, `content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8`,
`x-powered-by: Next.js`, `server: cloudflare` -- no challenge page, no `cf_bm` cookie, no
403. The body is a server-rendered Next.js app-shell HTML document (`<link rel="alternate"
href="/api/nodes?locale=xx">` for dozens of locales), not the JSON node list the path used
to return either successfully or behind a block.

## What this means

The site was rebuilt on Next.js and the `/api/nodes` path is now a page route inside that
app, not a JSON API endpoint. There is no Cloudflare challenge to defeat any more -- but
there is also no JSON API at that path to consume. An agent wanting Wheelmap data needs a
different, currently-undiscovered endpoint (or the rendered page itself), not the path this
corpus previously documented as blocked.

How observed: 2026-11-03T12:03Z, curl 8.x, one keyless GET, no key minted or sent.
