# Restore a deleted project from Trash — Jira

1. Choose **Settings** (gear icon) → **Projects**.
2. Select **Trash** from the sidebar.
3. Find the deleted project and select **••• → Restore**.

End state: the project and its issues, components, and settings return to the active project list. Requires the **Administer Jira** global permission; deleted projects sit in Trash for 60 days before permanent deletion, after which they can't be restored. Jira Cloud has no equivalent per-issue trash — only whole projects can be restored this way.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
