# Restore a deleted file from Trash — Figma

1. From the file browser (desktop app or browser), click **Trash**.
2. Locate the file to restore.
3. Right-click the file and select **Restore**.

End state: the file returns to its previous location. A file that's been permanently deleted (removed from Trash) can't be restored this way; on a paid plan, Figma support can be asked for help via the file's link.
