# Remove a member from a team — Figma

1. Log in at figma.com and open the file browser.
2. Click **Open team dropdown** next to the team's name.
3. Find the member in the member list and open the dropdown next to their name.
4. Click **Remove**.

End state: Figma revokes the member's permissions and their access to files and folders they had through that team or plan. If the member is the team owner, ownership must be transferred to someone else first (Starter and Professional plans have no team-owner role, so any member can be removed without that step).

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
