# Resolve an issue — Sentry

1. Open the **Issues** stream (or a single issue's page).
2. Select the issue, then click **Resolve**.
3. Optionally, if the project uses releases, resolve it in a specific release instead: the next release, the current/latest release, or another existing release.

End state: the issue's status becomes **Resolved**. A plain Resolve treats any later occurrence as a regression; resolving "in a release" only flags occurrences in a newer release as a regression (status changes to **Regressed** automatically).
