# Delete a dashboard — Datadog

1. Open the dashboard, and unstar it first if it's currently starred (a starred dashboard can't be deleted).
2. Click the **Configure** (cog) icon in the upper right.
3. Select **Delete dashboard**.

End state: the dashboard moves to the **Recently Deleted** list, where it can be restored; it's permanently deleted after 30 days there.
