From Setup, enter **Users** in the Quick Find box, then select **Users**.\n2. Click **Edit** next to the user's name.\n3. Deselect the **Active** checkbox.\n4. Click **Save** (requires the \"Manage Internal Users\" permission).\n\nEnd state: the user can no longer log in and their license is freed for reuse; all historical activity and records are preserved.
