# DigitalOcean control panel: regenerate or revoke a Personal Access Token

## Steps
1. In the Control Panel main menu, click Account, then click API to open the Applications & API page.
2. Select the Tokens tab.
3. For the token, open its ••• menu.
4. Choose Regenerate to issue a new value for the same token, or Delete to revoke it outright (the menu also offers Rename).

## End state
A regenerated token's old value stops working immediately and a new value is shown once; a deleted token is revoked and can no longer authenticate.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
