# DigitalOcean control panel: resize a Droplet

## Steps
1. Power off the Droplet (it must be off before resizing in the control panel).
2. Click the Droplet, then click Resize Droplet.
3. Choose the new plan/size (optionally increasing disk).
4. Confirm the resize.

## End state
The Droplet restarts at the new CPU/RAM (and optionally disk) size; increasing disk size is permanent and cannot be reversed by a later resize.
