# Render Dashboard: suspend a service

## Steps
1. Open the service's Settings page.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
3. Click Suspend.
4. Multiple services can also be suspended together: select their checkboxes in the services list, then click Suspend in the action menu that appears.

## End state
The service stops running and logs a SuspendServiceEvent; a suspended service can later be resumed from the same control.
