# Render Dashboard: restart a service

## Steps
1. Go to the service's Deploys page.
2. Click Manual Deploy.
3. Select Restart service.

## End state
A new instance starts using the exact same Git commit and configuration as the currently running instance; if the service runs multiple instances, the restart applies to all of them.
