# Netlify: view function logs

## Steps
1. In the Netlify UI, for the site, go to Cloud compute → Functions.
2. Select a function to see its log, covering up to 7 days of activity (retention depends on plan).
3. Function logs are shown for the current published deploy, branch deploys, and Deploy Previews.

## End state
The function's recent invocation log is displayed in the UI (the CLI's `netlify logs` command can also tail or window this data from the terminal).
