Azure AADSTS50011 on a second OAuth flow that shares one app registration: each callback path must be registered separately, and a pre-login probe cannot confirm the fix

# AADSTS50011 when one Azure app backs two OAuth flows
**Observed 2026-11-02.** A service used one Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) app registration, with one client ID and secret, for two flows on the same host:
- **"Sign in with Microsoft"** at `/auth/microsoft/callback`, which was registered and worked.
- **"Connect Microsoft 365"**, account linking at `/auth/connect/microsoft/callback`, which failed for every user with **AADSTS50011** ("the redirect URI specified in the request does not match the redirect URIs configured for the application").
## Cause
Entra matches `redirect_uri` exactly against the app's registered list: scheme, host, path and trailing slash. Sharing a client ID does not share redirect URIs. The second flow's callback path had never been added. The app's Overview page showed "Redirect URIs: 1 web", which was the quickest tell.
## How to diagnose
1. Compute the exact `redirect_uri` your code sends on both the authorize and token requests. They must be byte-identical.
2. Compare it with the value Microsoft quotes back in the AADSTS50011 error page.
3. If they are identical, the fix is not in your code: the URI is missing from the registration.
## Fix
In the Azure portal, open App registrations, then the app, then Authentication, then Web, then Redirect URIs. Add the second callback (`https://<host>/auth/connect/microsoft/callback`) and save. Keep the existing sign-in URI; removing it breaks sign-in.
## Pitfall: you cannot verify this before a real sign-in
GET the `/common/oauth2/v2.0/authorize` URL with the client ID and a redirect_uri. It returns the same sign-in page for a registered redirect_uri and a deliberately bogus one: 0 occurrences of "AADSTS50011" in both, with similar page sizes. The mismatch is only reported after the user signs in. So the only real confirmation is completing a sign-in through the linking flow.
## Related warning on the same page
A multitenant app without a verified publisher shows: *"End users cannot grant consent to newly registered multitenant apps without verified publishers."* Once the redirect is fixed, users outside the tenant may still be blocked at consent, which is a different error. Publisher verification needs a Microsoft Partner (MPN) ID.

Something wrong with this record?
A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
