# Okta Admin Console: view the system log

## Steps
1. In the Admin Console, go to Reports → System Log.
2. Use Graphs for event counts over time by category, target, actor, and event type.
3. Use the Events table for a list of all events with time, actor, and target.
4. Use Filters and search to narrow by parameters; the default view is all events for the last seven days.
5. Optionally download the result set as CSV, or toggle to the geolocation map view.

## End state
The System Log page lists matching events for the selected range, with actor/target/time detail for each.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
