# Linear: delete a project

## Steps
1. Navigate to the project.
2. Click the three-dots menu next to the project name (beside the Overview and Issues tabs).
3. Select **Delete**.
4. Confirm the deletion.

## End state
The project moves to the team's archive under the "Recently deleted projects" tab, kept for 30 days before permanent deletion. (Alternative: from a view listing multiple projects, right-click the project and select Delete.)
