# Notion: remove a member from a workspace

## Steps
1. Go to **Settings** → **People** (or **Members**, depending on plan).
2. Navigate to the **Members** tab.
3. Open the dropdown for the member's role or access level.
4. Select **Remove from workspace**.

## End state
The member instantly loses access to the workspace. If they rejoin within 30 days, their private pages and teamspace memberships are restored.
