# Vercel: delete a project

## Steps
1. On the dashboard, select the correct team, then select the project you want to delete.
2. Open **Settings** in the sidebar.
3. At the bottom of the **General** page, find the **Delete Project** section and click the **Delete** button.
4. In the Delete Project dialog, confirm by entering the project name and prompt, then click **Continue**.

## End state
The project, its deployments, domains, environment variables, and settings are permanently deleted. Deployments assigned to a custom domain should be moved to another project first if they must be kept.
