# Vercel: change which Git branch is the Production Branch

## Steps
1. Go to the project's **Environments** page in Project Settings.
2. Click on the **Production** environment and go to **Branch Tracking**.
3. Change the name of the branch.
4. Click **Save**.

## End state
Future commits pushed to the newly configured branch create production deployments; the previous production branch's commits no longer do.
