# Vercel: view runtime (function) logs

## Steps
1. From the dashboard, select the project you wish to see the logs for.
2. Open **Logs** in the sidebar from the project overview.
3. View, filter (by Timeline/Level/Route/Host/Deployment/Resource/Environment/Branch/Status Code/etc.), and search through the runtime logs.
4. Click a log row to see full details (request method, path, status, region, function metadata) in the right sidebar.

## End state
Runtime logs for Vercel Function invocations, Routing Middleware, and static-cache requests are shown in realtime, grouped per request. Note: build logs are separate and are accessed from the production deployment tile, not the Logs tab.
