Open the channel you'd like to archive.\n2. Click the channel name in the conversation header.\n3. Click **Settings**, then **Archive channel for everyone**.\n4. Click **Archive channel** to confirm.\n\n## End state\nThe channel is closed to new activity; its message history is retained and searchable on paid plans.
