# App Store Connect: submit an app version for review

## Steps
Required role: Account Holder, Admin, or App Manager.
1. In Apps, select the app.
2. In the sidebar, click the app version to submit.
3. Scroll down to the Build section and verify the right build is attached to the version.
4. At the top right, click Add for Review, and choose whether to add this app version to an existing draft submission or create a new submission. The app's status changes to Ready for Review — it is not yet sent to App Review at this point.
5. Optionally add other items (In-App Events, Apple-hosted asset packs, subscriptions, custom product pages, etc.) to the same submission; everything in a submission must be Accepted together to complete it.
6. To review what's in the draft, click Draft Submissions at the bottom right, or open the App Review section in the sidebar.
7. Click Submit for Review.

## End state
Once submitted, the app's status changes to In Review and the review process begins; each platform can have at most one app-version submission under review at a time (plus, separately, up to one more submission containing items without an app version).
