# SendGrid: create a contact list

## Steps
1. Log in to the Twilio SendGrid console.
2. Go to Marketing > Contacts.
3. Choose New List from the Create menu.
4. Type a name for the list in the List Name box.
5. Click Save List.

Contacts can then be added to the list via CSV upload, one at a time from the console (Add Contacts → Manual Add → To an existing list/To a new list you create), via a signup form, or via the Contacts API (up to 10 list IDs per request; a contact can belong to at most 250 lists at once).

## End state
The new list appears under Marketing > Contacts in the lists sidebar with a contact Count, ready to receive contacts and to be used as a Marketing Campaigns send/segment target.
