# Asana: create a team

## Steps
1. Open the Admin console.
2. Select the Teams tab in the left sidebar.
3. Click Create team (top right of the Teams list).
4. Name the team and set its privacy (e.g. Public to Organization, Membership by Request, or Hidden/Private).

From the Teams tab, admins can also view each team's name, member count, privacy setting, creation date and creator, and edit a team by hovering the three-dot icon next to the Created by field and clicking Edit team.

## End state
The new team appears in the Admin console's Teams list and in the organization's team picker, ready for members and projects to be added.
