# Asana: export a project

## Steps
1. Open the project and click the "..." (more options) icon next to the project name.
2. Select Export/Print.
3. Choose CSV, JSON, or Print.

Projects can also be exported from a Search View or from My Tasks, not just a regular project view.

## End state
A CSV or JSON file download of the project's tasks and fields is produced, suitable for backups, spreadsheet analysis, sharing with external stakeholders, or integrating with other systems.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
