# Zendesk: create a trigger

## Steps
1. In Admin Center, click **Objects and rules** in the sidebar, then select **Business rules > Triggers**.
2. On the Triggers page, click the **Ticket** tab.
3. Click **Create trigger** (or use the options menu on an existing trigger to create one below it, or to clone it).
4. Enter a **Name** (and optionally a **Description**); select an existing **Trigger category** or create a new one.
5. Click **Add condition** and set conditions to meet **All** or **Any**; select a Category, Field operator, and Value for each.
6. Click **Add action**, select a Category and Value for each action, and fill in its details.
7. Click **Create trigger**.

## End state
The trigger is created and, by default, active — it now runs in the order listed on the Triggers page every time a ticket is created or updated. An inactive trigger can be created instead via the arrow next to Create trigger. Accounts allow a maximum of 7,000 active ticket triggers.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
