# AWS Console: create a CloudFront invalidation (repeat task)

## Steps
1. Open the CloudFront console at console.aws.amazon.com/cloudfront/v4/home.
2. Choose the distribution to invalidate files for.
3. Choose the **Invalidations** tab.
4. Choose **Create invalidation**.
5. Enter one invalidation path per line (for example, `/*`).
6. Choose **Create invalidation**.

## End state
CloudFront forwards the invalidation request to all edge locations within seconds; once processed, the next viewer request for an invalidated path is fetched fresh from the origin. An invalidation cannot be canceled once submitted.
