# App Store Connect: create an In-App Purchase

## Steps
1. Open the app, then under Monetization in the sidebar click In-App Purchases.
2. Click the + (add) button.
3. Select a type: Consumable or Non-Consumable.
4. Enter a Reference Name and a Product ID.
5. Click Create.

## End state
The new in-app purchase is listed and can have its pricing, localized metadata, and review information filled in during creation or later; changes can take up to an hour to appear in the sandbox environment. Requires Account Holder, Admin, App Manager, Developer, or Marketing role.
