# Discord Developer Portal: reset a bot's token

## Steps
1. Open the application and select Bot in the left sidebar.
2. Click Reset Token.
3. Confirm the reset.

## End state
A new bot token is issued and shown once; the previous token stops authenticating Gateway/API requests immediately.
