# Airtable: create a personal access token

## Steps
1. Go to the tokens management page at airtable.com/create/tokens.
2. Click Create new token.
3. Name the token.
4. Select the API scopes it should grant.
5. Grant it access to specific bases and/or workspaces.
6. Create the token.

## End state
The token value is shown exactly once; it is hidden immediately afterward for security and cannot be viewed again.
