# Asana: create a Personal Access Token

## Steps
1. Go to the developer console at app.asana.com/0/my-apps.
2. Generate a new personal access token from this page.

## End state
The token value is issued for use with the Asana API; current docs stress treating it like a password and never hardcoding it into application source.

## Note
The exact button label on the my-apps page for generating the token is not given verbatim in current docs (only the console location and a screenshot reference), so it is not asserted here.

Source: vendor documentation as of 2026-10-29 (doc date not shown); not observed in a live UI.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
