# SendGrid: set up domain authentication

## Steps
1. Go to Settings → Sender Authentication.
2. In the Domain Authentication section, click Get Started.
3. Choose automated setup (e.g. Connect for GoDaddy-hosted domains) or manual DNS configuration.
4. Click Next through the setup steps; optionally expand Advanced Settings.
5. Add the shown DNS records at the domain's provider (for manual setup).
6. Click Verify.

## End state
Once DNS records resolve, the domain shows as Verified under Sender Authentication, and mail sent through it is DKIM/SPF-authenticated under that domain rather than SendGrid's shared domain.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
