# DigitalOcean control panel: create an App Platform app

## Steps
1. Click Create, then select App Platform.
2. Choose a deployment source (Git repository or container image) and click Next.
3. Click Edit on a detected resource to adjust its settings if needed.
4. Optionally add a database: Create dev database (new) or Attach DigitalOcean database (existing).
5. Click Add environment variable to set app-level variables.
6. Choose a datacenter region.
7. Name the app, assign a project, and click Create App.

## End state
App Platform builds and deploys the app from the chosen source; it then redeploys automatically on new pushes to the connected branch (for Git sources).

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
