# DigitalOcean control panel: create a Cloud Firewall

## Steps
1. Open the Create menu at the top and choose Firewall.
2. Enter a name for the firewall.
3. Define at least one rule (default rules — one inbound SSH rule, outbound rules permitting all traffic — are pre-filled; keep, modify, or delete them).
4. In Apply to Droplets, type the name of a Droplet or a resource tag to assign it.
5. Click Create Firewall.

## End state
The firewall is listed under Networking → Firewalls, where its rules and assigned resources are managed afterward.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
