# Render Dashboard: create a Cron Job

## Steps
1. Click New in the Dashboard and select Cron Job.
2. Connect a Git repository (updates to it can deploy new builds of the job), or choose to pull a prebuilt Docker image from an external registry.
3. Enter a unique Name.
4. Choose the runtime environment that builds/runs the job.
5. Enter the cron schedule expression that determines when it runs.
6. Create the job.

## End state
The job's Builds page tracks build progress/history, and its Runs page shows run history and logs for each scheduled execution.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
