# Heroku Dashboard: add a collaborator to an app

## Steps
1. Select the app in the Dashboard.
2. Click the Access tab.
3. Click Add collaborator.
4. In the New collaborator window, type the person's email address.
5. Click Save changes.

## End state
An email notifies the person of access granted (or an invitation if they have no Heroku account yet); a newly added collaborator starts with View-only permission. On the same Access tab, click the pencil icon beside their name to grant View, Deploy, Operate, or Manage.
