# Heroku Dashboard: create a new app

## Steps
1. Open the Heroku Dashboard.
2. Click New in the upper right.
3. Select Create new app.
4. Enter an app name (lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only).
5. Choose a region: United States (US) or Europe (EU).
6. Click Create app.

## End state
The app view loads for the new app, which has a Heroku Git remote to push code to and a unique `*.herokuapp.com` URL.
