# Netlify: roll back to a previous deploy

## Steps
1. Open the Deploys tab for the project.
2. Browse the list of past deploys (each previewable from its own unique URL).
3. Open the detail page of the successful deploy to roll back to.
4. Click Publish Deploy.

## End state
Netlify switches production traffic to that previously-built atomic deploy instantaneously, with no new build triggered. If the project has auto-publishing on for Git-triggered deploys, the next push to the production branch overwrites this rollback.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
