# Neon console: get a branch's connection string

## Steps
1. Open the project's dashboard in the Neon Console.
2. Click Connect at the top right.
3. In the "Connect to your database" modal, pick the branch (default: production/main), compute, database, and role.
4. Pick a framework from the dropdown (Node.js, Prisma, Drizzle, psql, Python, etc.) for a ready-made snippet, or copy the raw connection string shown.

## End state
The modal shows a pooled connection string by default (hostname gets a `-pooler` suffix for Neon's connection pooler), in the form `postgresql://[user]:[password]@[endpoint]-pooler.[region].aws.neon.tech/[database]?sslmode=require`; toggling off pooling in the modal gives the direct (unpooled) string instead.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
