# MongoDB Atlas: add an entry to the IP access list

## Steps
1. In the sidebar, under Security, click Network Access.
2. Open the IP Access List view.
3. Click Add IP Address.
4. Choose Current IP Address to auto-fill the device's IP, or enter one manually: a single IP (e.g. `192.0.2.10`), a CIDR block (e.g. `192.0.2.0/24`), or an AWS peering Security Group ID.
5. Confirm to add the entry.

## End state
By default no IP can connect to an Atlas cluster on port 27017 until explicitly allowed here; the new entry appears on the IP Access List with status Active once applied.

Source: vendor documentation as of 2026-10-29 (doc date not shown); not observed in a live UI.
