# Auth0 Dashboard: configure a custom domain

## Steps
1. Go to Dashboard → Branding → Custom Domains.
2. Click +Add custom domain.
3. Enter a fully-qualified domain name you own (e.g. login.yourdomain.com).
4. Choose a certificate type: Auth0-Managed Certificates or Self-Managed Certificates.
5. For Auth0-managed certs, add the CNAME verification record shown in the dashboard to your DNS.
6. Return to Branding → Custom Domains and click Verify next to the domain.

## End state
On successful verification the domain shows a green checkmark and status "Ready"; users then see login.yourdomain.com instead of yourtenant.auth0.com during login.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
