# Auth0 Dashboard: enable a Google social connection

## Steps
1. Go to Dashboard → Authentication → Social.
2. Click Create Connection.
3. Choose Google / Gmail.
4. In the General section, name the connection and paste the Client ID and Client Secret from a Google OAuth 2.0 Client (created beforehand in the Google Auth Platform).
5. Under Permissions, select the scopes to request — typically Basic Profile (email, verified email) and Extended Profile (name, photo, etc.).
6. Click Save Changes.
7. Optionally, reopen the connection and click Try Connection to test before enabling it on applications.

## End state
The connection is listed under Authentication → Social and can be toggled on per application from the connection's Applications tab.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
