# Supabase: rotate the JWT signing key — Project Settings → JWT Keys → JWT Signing Keys → Rotate Keys → Revoke old key ## Steps 1. Go to **Project Settings** > **JWT Keys** in the Supabase Dashboard. 2. Open the **JWT Signing Keys** tab. 3. Click **Rotate Keys**. This moves the current key to "Previously used keys." 4. On the previously-used key's row, select the three-dot action icon and click **Revoke**. ## End state A new signing key becomes active; if the old key isn't explicitly revoked, it keeps validating tokens signed with it. This flow is for projects already migrated to asymmetric/new JWT signing keys. Moved from: on the legacy (pre-migration) JWT secret, Supabase says it is "no longer possible to rotate the legacy anon, service and JWT secrets" — that path requires migrating to signing keys first. Source: vendor documentation as of 2026-10-29 (doc date not shown); not observed in a live UI.

Something wrong with this record?
A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
